Answers to typical questions are provided below. If you have a question that is not covered below, be sure to ask. We are here to help you in every way we can.

For how many days can I rent a unit?

Our minimum rental period is 3 nights, except during MAYOR HOLYDAYS, which are 5 nights minimum. (Summer rentals are for at least 7 days.) E-mail or call us at 530-242-6558 or 530-356-7937 to verify availability.

Do we have to pay taxes over the price of our rental?

Yes. Our units do not  include the tax in the rental price.

Is mileage included in the rental cost?

Our mileage charge is only 20 cents per mile.

Do we have to pay a preparation fee?

No.

Do we have to pay any hidden fees?

We have no hidden mandatory fees. All you need to do is return the motor home in the same condition as you received it to get your deposits back in full within SEVEN days of your return.

What down payment is required?

To guarantee your price and unit we must have a minimum $250.00 down payment.

How do I pay for the rental? Do you take checks and credit cards?

All fees, including estimated mileage, are due prior to departure.

PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED 30 DAYS OR MORE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.

Date of departure all payments must be cash, cashiers check, money order, travelers checks or credit card. If you don't feel comfortable giving your credit card information over the Internet you can call us 530-242-6558 or 530-356-7937 or fax us your information to 530-276-9288

How about insurance?

Customers must an Insurance Binder from their own auto insurance company.

Is my reservation/cleaning deposit refundable?

The reservation/cleaning deposit of $250.00 is fully refundable WITHIN SEVEN DAYS after the return of the rental unit in a clean undamaged condition, with the gas and propane full and the holding tanks empty.

Do I need a special driver's license to drive a motorhome?

Any Drivers License that is valid for an automobile is appropriate for these recreational vehicles/motor homes/Caravan/Camper.  These vehicles do not require a commercial drivers license. Experienced automobile drivers already have the skills to drive a motorized RV.

When can I pick up the motorhome?

Pick up: Noon to 3:00 pm only.
Returns: Mornings no later than noon.
Business Office hours:
Monday - Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Sunday: Noon to 3:00 pm

What if I am late returning the motorhome?

Call the office immediately. We are available 24 hours per day at 530-242-6558 or 530-356-7937.

What if I return the motorhome before the date it is due?

Call ahead and let us know. The motorhome is overdue after 12:00 pm (noon) on date of return. You will be charged an extra day. Please notify our rental office 530-242-6558 or 530-356-7937 if you will be late in returning. No refunds will be made for early returns, late pick-ups or unused miles.

Do you have units that open up in the back to let in motorcycles?

NO. Due to an unbelievable amount of damage by our customers we no longer carry toy boxes.

Can we reserve our unit by Fax?

Fax reservations can be done using MasterCard or VISA.  Our Fax number is 530-276-9288.

How about cancellations?

When a cancellation notice is received less than thirty-days from departure date, reservation deposits ARE NOT refundable.

Who is responsible for road hazards?

Customers are responsible for all road hazards.

Who is responsible for road hazards? What if the motorhome breaks down?

Can we tow?

Maybe. Most of our motor homes are equipped with class 3 hitches for towing.  We allow towing free of charge but customers must supply the ball mount (Stinger).  Customers are 100% responsible for any wiring required and must not, under any circumstances, alter the wiring on the motor home.

Are pets allowed in the motorhome?

There is a $300.00 pet deposit when renting a RV. Deposit is refundable if pet does no damage, including hair or odor.

Are there facilities next to your office where we can buy supplies and propane?

Our staff will gladly direct you to the closest shopping center, fueling facilities and car/motorhome wash.

Can I park my car at your rental center while we travel?

Do you have baby car seats/booster seats?

No. Please Note: As of January 1st, 2002, California State law mandates that all children under 6 years old or 80 pound must use a car seat/booster seat.

What if I am involved in an accident?

You must notify our office within 24 hours of an accident and make a full report in writing as well as file a police report.

Can you pick me up / drop me off at the airport?

We offer this service free for rentals of 14 nights or longer for customers arriving by air only to and from Redding Municipal Airport. Airport pick-up/drop-off must be scheduled at the time of booking or the service might not be available when the RV is to be picked-up/dropped-off. A rental under 14 days is approximately $80.00.
